Postcard from an angel

There's an angel in Melbourne. It's against the wall, standing on a ball watching passers by. At 4 meters tall, verdigris green and clearly female, it's a mix of fascinating and slightly intimidating.

Is it life sized? Well, it's an angel, so how would I know? In the thirteenth century, the learned men who argued about the number of angels able to stand on the head of a pin had clearly never seen this one. Of course, this one was created in 1992 by Peter Corlett, so I suppose the question is moot.

I like street art, so I make sure that I visit the angel when I'm in town.
